We will start at the Tim Hortons/Petro service station (King City, Hwy 400) at 8:00 am, and cruise out for the day on a scenic tour towards Lake Rosseau, Muskoka where we’ll enjoy a lakeside lunch at Crossroads Pub and Grill. EMMA FARQUHARSON'S REVIEW OF THE S1000RR.
The Elegant Beast
Emma Farquharson is our new Sales Consultant at BMW Toronto Motorrad and also the owner of the blog Mushy Pony. She has been riding for four years. You can frequently see her cruising around downtown Toronto on her R1200R. Below is an excerpt from her review:
"I was expecting madness. An uncontrollable, track-specific, hell-on-wheels beast. But I was wrong. With the bike set in sport mode, it knew how to treat me like a lady and let me take charge. I was able to accelerate comfortably with easy clutch control, shifting between gears smoothly. The front brakes were a little sensitive, and the riding position aggressive, but that’s the tradeoff when you own a superbike – image replaces comfort. Switch the bike into track mode, and you’re taking off its muzzle (ABS, traction control, wheelie control, etc.)."
