Tesla Supercharger Adapters
Tesla™ Supercharger compatibility expands charging options for eligible BMW electric vehicles, making longer journeys even more convenient. Vehicles equipped with a BMW-approved Lectron™ Vortex Plus DC adapter can access BMW-compatible Tesla™ Superchargers once the required Remote Software Upgrade (RSU) has been completed.
Most BMW electric vehicles from model year 2022 and newer are compatible with the latest RSU, while select models, including the 2026 BMW iX and 2026 BMW i5 xDrive40, will receive the update in late spring 2026. BMW i3 models (2014–2021) are not compatible.
