Tesla Supercharger Adapters
If equipped with a BMW-approved Lectron™ Vortex Plus DC adapter, your vehicle can access BMW-compatible Tesla™ Superchargers once the required Remote Software Upgrade (RSU) has been completed.
Most BMW electric vehicles from model year 2022 and newer are compatible following installation of the latest RSU. Select models, including the 2026 BMW iX and 2026 BMW i5 xDrive40, will receive this update in late spring 2026. BMW i3 models (2014–2021) are not compatible.
Set Up Your NACS Adapter
To view compatible Tesla Superchargers in your My BMW App* and in-vehicle navigation, your NACS DC adapter must be added to your charging settings.
Open the My BMW App, navigate to the Charging section, and select Adapters under Equipment. Add your Lectron™ Vortex Plus adapter and save it to your profile.
Once configured, compatible Tesla Superchargers will appear in search results and be integrated into route planning and charging recommendations.
